In this video we travel to Dolberg Lake, AB to chase the notorious tiger trout.
Since stocking first began in Alberta in 2015, Tiger trout a quickly becoming a favorite species to chase for many angers. Being a brown trout-brook trout hybrid, tiger trout are notoriously aggressive and often put on a great fight when caught. They are also a very catchable species that are perfect for introducing new anglers to the sport.
On many lakes in Alberta, tiger trout are managed as a quality stocked trout and are unable to be kept. This allows tiger trout to grow quickly and allows anglers the opportunity to catch quality fish more often.
