ICAST 2019 – Exciting new products unveiled!

The world’s largest sportfishing tradeshow, ICAST has wrapped up for 2019 and after reading all the coverage and watching the videos I’ve caught up on all the new products released at the event. There was some crazy advancements in technology, such as the new Hobie Mirage 360 drive, and some natural evolution of products, like the next generation of trolling motors.

There was so many new products released in such a short time that it can be hard to find the real gems. After finally wading through the tide I have put together a list of all the products that I am most excited to see in the next year:

Plano Edge Tackle Storage – This is an exciting new storage solution from Plano. I will be scooping some up as soon as they are available locally.

Hobie Mirage 360 Drive – This new drive won best of category at ICAST. It’s a pretty amazing innovation.

Hynes Bay Swallowed Fish Hook Remover – This is an awesome innovation that rotates the hook to pull it out of a fishes gullet.

Humminbird Mega 360 Imaging – I’ve always wanted to be able to see what is around my boat and this technology is just getting better every year.

Old Town Topwater 120 – This is my favorite kayak released lately, it has many amazing features and a 5 year warranty on the pedal drive to boot!

Okuma Ceymar Micro Baitfeeder – The perfect reel to pair with that new ice fishing deadstick rod.

VMC Bladed Hybrid Treble Hook – An easy way to add a little flash and vibration to your favorite lure!

Vibe Shearwater 125 Kayak – The new Vibe kayak has a ton of features. They have partnered with Bixpy motors and now offers this kayak with your choice or propulsion – paddle, pedal or motor drive.

Wilderness Systems Recon 120 – This kayak looks like a great balance of features and price and a pedal drive that has been pretty reliable. Available in 2020 for $2150 USD

Yakima Rooftop Topwater Box – The TopWater is the first purpose-built box to keep fishing rods safe, organized, and ready to go. It fits on top of any standard roof rack.
