Dates are starting to roll out for the 2020 Western Canada Kayak Fishing Trail! Only a few have been posted so far so start booking the time into your calendars. The rest of the dates will slowly roll out over the next couple of months as each events licenses are approved.
Last year there were 10 events spread throughout the summer and each one earned you points along the trail. Unfortunately, I was only able to attend a few of the events and ended up somewhere in the middle of the pack for points. I still had a great time, and even though I didn’t earn many points I did win some prizes!
If you haven’t been to a kayak fishing tournament they are awesome. It is such a friendly atmosphere and a great place to put your fishing skills to the test. The competition is as fierce as you want it to be. You can hang back near the launch and fish socially with the group, or you can get after the fish and put points on the board. Its really up to you.
So if you enjoy hanging out and fishing with like minded people, winning cool prizes and being around amazing company, come out to a tournament day and experience what kayak fishing is all about.
