With seven events being held all across Alberta there is plenty of opportunity to come out and catch some fish with a growing community. This is the second year of the Western Canada Kayak Fishing Trail and the ninth year of the flagship event, the Eastslope Kayak Fishing Classic.
All the events are family friendly and this year there is a new 14 and under youth division. For rules and updated event details I encourage you to join the Facebook group and keep an eye on the Eastslope Classic web page. Once the events are issued licenses by fisheries the dates and locations will be available.

Are the rules and updated event details going to be posted somewhere other than facebook. I don’t have facebook.
I am not sure, so far the Kayak Fishing Trail has been organized though Facebook and to be part of the discussion you will have to go there. The rules are also posted on the Facebook page and usually emailed to you with your entry. One of the reasons I posted the event info here is because a lot of people do not use Facebook. I will update this site with the help of the event organizers as each event is finalized so check back here as the events get closer!
